Institutional Value & Educational Equity

The Speculative Ludology Lab represents a permanent departmental asset for the Department of Communication and the broader Tulane academic ecosystem. Directly fulfilling core university priorities regarding diversity, inclusion, and academic access, it addresses a historical gap in infrastructure by housing equipment in Tilton Memorial Library where students in Communication, Africana Studies, Digital Media Practices, as well as the general student body can easily check out the physical tools required to critique digital culture.

Proof-of-Concept & External Funding

Initial funding serves as proof-of-concept support to yield data-driven methodologies and high-impact publications. Current projects and data repositories are explicitly structured to seed major external grant proposals.
